E’ un po’ diverso dal genere di notizie a cui sono solita dare risalto, ma è talmente originale che sono certa mi perdonerete un’eccezione frivola 🙂

Le serate di Parigi si sono arricchite di un nuovo appuntamento per singles “upper class”.

Il primo lunedì del mese all’ultimo piano della Tour Montparnasse – il grattacielo più alto di Parigi e di Francia – l’aperitivo si fa davvero stuzzicante. Da questa posizione si gode il panorama a tutto tondo e, mentre si degustano i migliori champagne, si crea un atmosfera romantica e sensuale.

E’ il wine date, che attrae ogni volta circa un’ottantina di persone contattate tramite passaparola, internet, e-mail, magazine. A quanto pare una perfetta operazione di marketing.

Ogni tavolo accoglie otto partecipanti, ugualmente divisi tra uomini e donne, a cui Olivier Magny spiega le caratteristiche dei vini serviti. La degustazione è accompagnata da un wine game, un quiz sul mondo vinicolo, che premia il partecipante che ha fornito la risposta esatta con due bicchieri di champagne. Uno è da bere, l’altro serve per fare un brindisi…con la persona che si ritiene più sexy.

L’idea è venuta a Olivier Magny, che a soli 28 anni dimostra grande energia e spirito imprenditoriale. Fondatore di O Chateau, il gruppo che organizza questi eventi, è sommelier diplomato al Wine and Spirits Education Trust e ha lavorato – tra l’altro – anche con il famoso cuoco Edouard Loubet al Grand Hotel du Cap Ferrat in Costa Azzurra.

Evenings in Paris have been enhanced with a new appointment for singles “upper class”.

The first Monday of every month at the top floor of the Tour Montparnasse – the highest skyscraper in Paris and France – the aperitif is really intriguing. From this position you can enjoy the panorama all-round and, while you taste the best champagne, the atmosphere is romantic and sensual….

It is “the wine dates”, which attracts every first Monday about 80 people contacted by mouth, internet, e-mail magazines. It seems a perfect marketing operation.

Each table holds eight participants, equally divided between men and women, and Olivier Magny explains the characteristics of the wines served. The tasting is accompanied by a wine game, a quiz about the subject of wine, which rewards the participant who provided the correct answer with two glasses of champagne. One is to drink, the other is used to make a toast … with the person who is considered more sexy.

The idea came to Olivier Magny, who just 28 years has shown great energy and entrepreneurial spirit. Founder of O Chateau , the group that organizes these events, has graduated from the sommelier Wine and Spirits Education Trust and worked – among others – even with the famous chef Edouard Loubet at the Grand Hotel du Cap Ferrat in French Riviera.
